Discussing the pro-amateur situation for 1981. McCormack explains that it makes the most sense to hold the tournament on a Monday or Tuesday, as there are no releases required from the U. S. PGA or U. S. sponsor, whereas if the pro-am would be any day Wednesday through Sunday, releases are required from both those organizations.
