Letter from Louisa Gass to Sadie Kessel

Oquakwa (Ill.) - Louisa talks of how proud of Sadie she is because of her grades, but warns Sadie to make sure she does her own work and not to depend upon Miss Adams. She also talks a bit about boys, but reminds Sadie that she does not want her to date until after University. She instructs Sadie not to waste her time with Lewis.

Oquakwa (Ill.) - Louisa instructs Sadie to have the dresses made as soon as possible. She asks Sadie is the is liking Trigonometry better than Geometry, and inquires about her Greek lessons. She also tells Sadie that it isn't fair to give Nelson false encouragement and adds that she isn't saying anything against him, bur rather in his behalf.
