St. Aignan des Noyers (France) - All he has seen for a year is "billets or frog houses which are absolutely rotten." There are some nice places in France, but one get tired of it all and everything is old fashioned and the people old and behind the times.

France - Strange to write a letter from foreign lands especially with censorship. "This country is very old fashioned..." Wagons are all two wheeled, the horses all look fine and well kept, the trains are off looking. France - Everything looks god; Turkey and Austria have quite and "next the Kaiser will have to fall out or get knocked out." Saw part of the front, but not actual fighting.
