France - Everything looks fine. After long heat, things have cooled and gotten rainy.
Assumes Tom is worried about going into the army.

Newport News (Va.) - Will be sent to Plattsburgh for treatment. Has regained his weight and is doing
well, though still prone to attacks.
France - Heard about heavy frosts and asks whether they destroyed the tobacco crop.
Camp Devens (Mass.) - Will be leaving very soon; glad to have been able to visit home.
