Lynn (Mass.) - Today is Letty's twenty-first birthday and Good Friday. Letty has been very busy at work, a new girl will be joining them next week and then Letty will focus on typewriting, correspondence, and keeping three record books. Letty asks if Nick has had a chance to go to church, and asks him to pick up a pair of rosary beads for her. Letty wishes Nick a Happy Easter.

New Jersey - Nick went to the Post Office but he has not received the watch that Letty sent. He hopes to get home for Christmas but he is not sure if he will be able to. He is writing this letter in the Knights of Columbus building while listening to the Victrola. Nick is meeting men from all over the United States who are stationed here.

Lynn (Mass.) - Letty, Nellie, and their mother went for a walk to see the reservoir. While they were at the reservoir a fire alarm rang in, the woods were on fire. Carl Vase hit a woman with his automobile and killed her. Letty hopes that Nick is well and that he has been able to get a drink of water in France.

France - Nick travelled throughout France with his officer to pay the American Troops. He went through the section where the great drive occurred and areas where the fighting was thickest. He asks Letty if censors have cut up his letters at all. Included is a newspaper clipping with a photo of the big drive.
