Grand Bazaar, Istanbul

Turkey - People pass through the Nuruosmaniye Gateway at the entrance of the Grand Covered Bazaar. The Covered Bazaar (Kapaliçar?i in Turkish) is an enormous covered market that stretches 58 streets long and contains upward of 1,200 shops. It was commissioned in 1461 by Mehmet the Conqueror and expanded throughout the 16th century.
