McCormack, Mark H.
McCormack responds to Watt Tyler's letter of August 2, 1968 and is informing Tyler that it is going to be difficult to arrange the October luncheon for Gary. He elaborates on this, explaining that Gary will be busy with arrival times, practice times, dinner with the Safmarine Company of South Africa, the Annual Contestants' Dinner, and the tournament. He notes that following the tournament, Gary will be working with the people on the strip itself and he departs for Scotland for a stint with the International Wool Secretariat on Monday morning. McCormack suggests that the luncheon can possibly be arranged for the Friday after the World Match Play Championship, but it would depend on when he returns from the IWS session in Scotland. He suggests that if Sir Max Aitken's luncheon could be changed to a dinner, it could possibly be done sometime during the week of the golf tournament but he notes that a luncheon in midtown London would make practice at Wentworth on the same day somewhat impossible.
