Formal portrait of Emory Alexander Ellsworth, Class of 1871. He went on after graduation to work as a civil engineer and architect for various employers including the New Haven & Northampton Railroad and the city of Holyoke (Massachusetts), where he aided in the completion of the Holyoke Water Works. He also worked independently and was the architect responsible for the college's then Veterinary Lab, now Munson Hall. He passed away on December 8, 1915. "E. A.
