Du Bois, W. E. B. (William Edward Burghardt), 1868-1963
This is a French translation of Du Bois's address to the Conference of African Peoples. Du Bois says that the unity of African peoples is chiefly a result of their shared history of European colonization. He urges Africans to unite to promote peace, education and the abolition of poverty, to govern democratically for the good of their people, and to revolt against the interests of colonial powers and Western capitalism.
