McCormack, Mark H.
McCormack explains to Saul Schoenberg that the attached correspondence is "one of the most embarrassing happenings in recent years" in reference to their Royal and Ancient relationship. He notes the sequence of his correspondence with Kurihara, Gordon Jeffreys, and George Wilson. He briefly explains that when they met with Kawaguchi in Tokyo, he indicated that the royalties would not be anywhere near as high as the newspaper article indicated. McCormack wanted to let the R & A down gradually on this and mentions that he does not think this will come up during the Mizuno meeting. He asks Schoenberg to give copies of his letter to George Wilson to Bonallack and Jeffreys when he sees them.
