Massachusetts Association of Paraplegics
Providing summaries of the activities of the various committees of MAP from July 1968 to June 1969. The architectural barriers committee promotes awareness of issues with accessibility. The education committee discusses a study done by the United Community Services of Greater Boston which stated that the needs of students with disabilities were being essentially met in the state. The housing committee has been searching for a site on which to build accessible housing for people with disabilities. MAP has participated in much publicity and public relations to bring awareness and educate the public on issues faced by people with disabilities. There are also brief summaries on sports for people with disabilities, employment efforts, and client services.
